One of the most common questions I get asked as a business coach is, "How do you achieve $10k months?"
Oh, those elusive $10k months.
While I can't speak for everyone, I can speak for myself and the results I see from my clients.
In the last three months, I've produced a little over $40k in my business and growing. And I did it all without...
❌Cold DMing people
❌Using sleazy sales tactics
❌Forceful selling
Why? Because selling doesn't mean convincing. I am not here to convince anyone.
I am here to serve.
I do this by showing the value I provide, supporting people through their transformation, challenging them to grow beyond their current vision of themselves, and letting those who are ready, make the informed decision to work with me.
What's the difference between a coach who convinces and a coach who serves?
The difference is that I care deeply about the clients who I work with. ♥️
I'm ALL IN with them, and I know that how I serve them creates a ripple effect in their lives. And I expect the same thing from my clients--for them to be ALL IN with me.
This is because our work together is an equal exchange.
If you're a business owner, at one point or another, you may have done, agreed to, or implemented strategies that didn’t feel good in your body. (Whew, I've been there!)
If this sounds like you, and you want to make a change, here are a few things that helped me on my journey. 👇🏼
1. I stopped being a martyr in my business
I used to let myself struggle in my business for the sake of keeping pricing low. Little did I know, there are other ways to create access to your work!
2. I stopped hiding my pricing
When I first started my business, I was advised by a coach to wait to reveal my pricing until I was on a call with someone because they would be less likely to say no. My spirit raged against this because it didn't align with my values of transparency.
3. I healed the parts of me that felt unworthy
Lemme tell ya--starting a business is simultaneously starting a healing journey. You have to sit in fear often and be comfortable with receiving.
4. I had to release the guilt I had around wanting to be wealthy
There are so many tropes we hear about money--and many of them were running rampant in my subconscious. I found myself often conflating money with morality. Healing that guilt was ROUGH because if I didn't have that guilt to hang onto, what did I have? In the end, I realized what I had was my truth.
5. I had to heal my frequency around sales.
Early in my journey, I had a huge aversion to sales. When I thought about sales, I thought of car salesmen, the salespeople in the perfume aisle, and any pushy, in-your-face salesperson I had ever encountered. I knew wholeheartedly that I didn't want to be like that.
Over time, I realized that sales was service. Offering different ways for people to work with you, letting those people be seen, and building relationships with them was a side of sales I had never thought about. Once I made this shift, I started soulfully generating more leads online.
Once I started integrating all five of these shifts, everything changed. I realized that I loved showing up and helping people, and I no longer saw it as selling.
I no longer felt guilt over receiving money (and lots of it). I even stopped underpricing and undervaluing my work and transformation. I felt so grounded and GOOD in my business and started to really implement these practices with my clients!
Here are some of my clients' wins since integrating these practices with me:
- One client had an almost $40k launch--her biggest launch in the history of her business!
- Another raised her prices from $120 sessions to a $1,500 program and booked her first client!
- My client, Erica, who is a content creator, saw a 220% increase in her income month after month, making a total increase of 600% since working together.
Truthfully, the list could go on and on! But what I find the most rewarding is how my clients feel in their life and business.
They feel free, lighter, and like they are the embodied CEO of their business. They understand that the healing precedes the result and have the tools to deal with the heavy emotions and contractions we all feel in business as they come up.
I really hope these tips help you expand, feel more confident in your business, and bring in the awareness that is available to you.
